Consortium partners: Modern Education Foundation (Bulgaria), Macedonian Civic Education Center (North Macedonia), BULGARIAN BRANCH CHAMBER OF WOODWORKING AND FURNITURE INDUSTRY (Bulgaria), M&M Profuture Training, S.L. (Spain) and Panevėžys Vocational education and training center (Lithuania).
Aim of the project: To strengthen the provision of work-based learning as the established Consortium acknowledges that quality apprenticeship schemes are a vital requirement for Initial vocational education and training (IVET) to keep pace with the rapid technological, economic and social developments. The Consortium’s aim is to develop innovative intellectual outputs in order to enhance the skills and competences of the target groups with user-friendly tools to plan, design and execute training syllabus, monitor apprentices’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Project main objective: To support company mentors in the planning, design, delivery and assessment of IVET apprenticeship schemes.
Target groups: 1. Trainers of company mentors 2. Company mentors.
Intellectual outputs: To sustain the active involvement of the business in WBL as well as to guarantee the high quality and relevance of the company mentorship, the SUSTAIN VET project will design a Train-the-Trainer Program (O1) to be delivered by umbrella organizations to businesses. Furthermore, in view of the context and objectives of the project, the SUSTAIN VET also aims at developing, testing and implementing a Toolkit for Company Mentors (O2) to assist them in planning, implementing and assessing WBL that takes place during practical training at a company.
Main activities: Project activities are structured in five logically designed project management phases. These include both project management activities as well as the ones dedicated to the elaboration of the two foreseen intellectual outputs. The activities are: 1) Project Management and Coordination – an ongoing process 2) Elaboration of Output 1 Proficiency Train-the-Trainer Program for trainers of company mentors (M1-M11) 3) Elaboration of Output 2 The Ultimate Company Mentor Survival Toolkit (M13-M21) 4) Quality Management and 5) Dissemination and Exploitation.
