Youth activities and ceremonial opening of a renovated sports hall in the Municipality of Staro Nagoricane

On June 7, 2022, activities for promoting the youth action and the initiative of the students from the primary schools “Hristijan Todorovski Karpos”, “Hristijan Karpos” and “Svetozar Markovic” from Staro Nagoricane were organized. The activities were supported by the Municipality of Staro Nagoricane and the USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project, in partnership with the Youth Educational Forum.

The youth action was organized as a result of online workshops and meetings during which the students initiated the arrangement and beautification of the park near the school “Hristijan Karpos” in v. Mlado Nagoricane. At the promotional event, the students participated in additional activities, painting goals, playing games, and celebrating their successes together.

Also, a promotional event was organized on the occasion of the renovation of the sports hall for students from lower grades in the primary school “Hristijan Todorovski Karpos” in v. Dragomance. With financial support from the US European Command (EUCOM) part of the school building was completely renovated and adapted into a sports hall, so around 65 students have a better space for sports and socializing.

The school and the municipality contributed with around 30% in the costs for renovation of the sports hall.

During the event, young people from different ethnic communities participated in numerous sports activities in the hall and were part of a workshop within the open day for Civic Education.
