Workshop for deepening the knowledge of students’ personal development and their career guidance throughout the subject teaching

On November 18, 2022, in Skopje, teachers from the project schools and representatives from the Bureau for Development of Education participated in a workshop led by the Zürich University of Teacher Education in Switzerland, within the Project PEACOCK – Peace through co-operation, competences and knowledge. They had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of students’ personal development and their career guidance throughout the subject teaching.

During the workshop, the attendees actively participated in a model lesson for professional orientation of the students, and then in practical exercises related to the topics of reflection, life skills competencies, giving feedback, evaluating, and integrating the contents of the program for personal development of the students in different subjects.

The Project PEACOCK – Peace through co-operation, competences and knowledge is supported by the Zürich University of Teacher Education in Switzerland and is implemented in partnership with the Bureau for Development of Education.

The manuals “Personal development of students” from the 5th to the 9th grade that were prepared within the project and were piloted in 30 project schools, in the beginning of the 2022/2023 school year have been recommended by the Bureau for use in all schools across the country as additional teaching resources for getting students acquainted with life skills.
