The students from the primary schools “Sv. Kiril i Metodij”, “Malina Pop Ivanova”, “Krste Petkov Misirkov”, “Nikola Karev” and “Rade Kratovche” and from the secondary schools “Ljupcho Santov” and “Gosho Vikentiev” from Kochani, organized a youth action. The youth action was supported by the Municipality of Kochani and the USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project, in cooperation with the Youth Educational Forum.

Complying with the protection measures, the students, together with their teachers and representatives of the municipality, gathered at the “Freedom Monument”. Together, they cleaned the place, raising awareness of the importance of environmental protection and presented the benches and the waste bins that were installed to adorn the space.
Thanks to their initiative, the young people from Kochani now have a better place to socialize and spend their free time as well as to organize outdoor events.

“We are very happy because we were finally able to adorn this beautiful place where we can socialize much more and have more activities. This was from us, the young people for the young people and a message to all – let’s preserve this space and make it even more beautiful”, said the students who were involved in the action.
The action was a result of online meetings, at which the students planned the priorities for improving the situation in the municipality and then represented them before the local authorities to provide the necessary support. And they managed to realize their initiative.
