The yard of the “Andrea Savevski Kikis” primary school in Tetovo was given a more beautiful look thanks to the joint effort of twenty sixth graders. This was an eco action that was carried out at the end of March 2018 in which, in addition to students from this school, students from the “Liria” primary school from Tetovo took part as well.

The hard-working sixth graders painted the school yard benches and planters, giving a vivid look to their second home – the school. The sight and the atmosphere of the event were more than beautiful because the young students worked tirelessly in order to achieve their common goal – a better and cleaner environment for all.

I had a great time here today.  After this activity, I will repaint my room myself”, said one of the students who took part in the activity.  Some of the other students added that, even though that was the first time they painted, they would do the same in their homes.

At the end of the activity, all the students wrote messages for cleaner and healthier environment.  They placed the sheets with the messages on the road, one next to another, symbolically creating an “eco path” between the painted benches and planters in the school yard.

The eco action was already the third joint meeting of the students from different ethnic backgrounds who study in these two partner schools.  We are looking forward to seeing the initiatives with which the primary school students will surprise us in the forthcoming period!
