183
Students who are part of the virtual Idea Fusion Center participated in an online communication and public speaking skills training organized by the USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project. The aim was for students to enrich their knowledge and learn how to successfully present their ideas for positive change in the community.

Proper communication helps build relationships, influence decisions and convey messages. Communication and public speaking skills are essential for ambitious students who strive to achieve positive change in their environment.

During the training, they strengthened their abilities to clearly convey their views and use them to motivate and inform others. The topics covered included verbal and non-verbal communication, body language and quality public speaking techniques. The exercises gave them the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice.

The improved skills of the participants, who are also part of the student parliaments of their respective schools, are expected to contribute to the realization of students’ interests and quality student organization.
