This year, as well, the Education for Employment in North Macedonia – E4E@мк project continued the implementation of the social dialogue “Learn Smart, Work Skillfully”. Through 17 meetings in 17 municipalities across the country, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the municipalities and the private sector, worked on the improvement of the secondary vocational education.

In Skopje, Shtip, Struga, Ohrid, Prilep, Bitola, Valandovo, Strumica, Kochani, Makedonska Kamenica, Veles, Kavadarci, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka and Kichevo, representatives of the central government, the local self-government and the private sector took an active part and with their proposals expressed their support for the creation of future young and professional staff.
The purpose of these events was to attract as many companies as possible to engage them in the dual education, as a proven model that provides professional staff ready to be directly included in the work in the environments where they conducted the practical training.

“The secondary vocational schools can again be the first choice of the high school students only if the municipalities, the local companies and the secondary vocational schools are directly involved in this process of social dialogue, because the mayors, the company managers and the school principals know best where to intervene in order to provide professions that are demanded on the labour market and what is the best way to do that,” said the Minister of Education and Science.

The creation of the enrollment policy for the next school year and the formation of dual classes begins through the social dialogue regarding the vocational profiles in the secondary vocational schools, followed by the announcement of the call for enrollment in secondary education for 2022-2023. Next school year, the ninth graders will have the opportunity to receive scholarship to enroll in dual classes.
The Education for Employment in North Macedonia – E4E@мк project supports the cooperation between the private sector and the educational institutions for the purpose of promoting the vocational education and training.
