Initial meeting with representatives of pilot schools and municipalities

2004

The team of the USAID Youth Ethnic Integration Project had a meeting with about 120 representatives from 40 pilot schools and municipalities in which the project activities will be implemented in the course of the school year 2017/ 2018.

The initial meeting was held on 13 November 2017 in order to present the project and the small grant program for joint student activities and initiatives and grants for school renovation.

Through the small grants program, the Project will support activities that contribute to interaction and cooperation, and at the same time for development of democratic values among young people from different ethnic communities. As an additional incentive for the schools and the communities to participate in such activities, the program for renovation of schools will help in the improvement of the learning environment in the school buildings.

After the presentation of the project activities, at the meeting, the upcoming joint steps – coordination meetings were discussed with the pilot municipalities and schools. The good practices from the pilot schools will be used for improvement of the program, before increasing the number of schools included in the Project in the following years.
