Integrating Roma Children within the School Environment through Inspiring their Creativity

Objective: Integrate Roma children within the school environment through motivating them to take active participation in the extra-curricular activities. Activities were organized with the students, as interactive “fun-shops”. They included work in various sections: arts, English language, music, theatre, environment protection. The project’s target group was teachers and students from secondary schools from Kumanovo, Gostivar and Veles.

Results:
• Extra curricula activities organized aiming to bring children together according to their interests, supporting children ideas and creativity;
• Total number of 5 teachers and 125 students were involved in the process of organization and implementation of the extra curricula;
• Teachers’ skills strengthened to prepare an action plan of activities and the resources needed for implementation;
• Final project event to mark the accomplishments organized.
